Business-day counts are offered for five countries today, each at the jurisdiction grain where its calendar is actually true. This inventory is generated from our certified registry: what it lists is exactly what the tools will count.
United States
A business-day count for the United States as a whole uses US federal holidays.

United Kingdom
A business-day count for the United Kingdom as a whole is refused: the country-level calendar matches no real jurisdiction. Counts are offered per certified subdivision:

Germany
A business-day count for Germany as a whole uses the public holidays observed nationwide. Subdivisions can add holidays of their own; those are not included.

How we certify
Certification is our own editorial process, not an external audit or accreditation. For each jurisdiction listed here, we verify the non-working days against that jurisdiction's own governing records (the statute or official government calendar that defines them, named on the About page), and publish the method and date beside each entry above. Between verifications the holiday data stays fixed, and any later change to a jurisdiction's calendar is caught automatically and held until a person re-checks it against the governing record.
